2024-2025 SGA Legislative Meetings
All Meetings are Tuesdays from 3:00pm-4:30pm in-person at the Menifee Valley Campus, Room 3026, and the San Jacinto Campus, Room 200 unless stated otherwise below. Links to off-schedule meetings will be listed below. Agendas are linked below and minutes can be found on BoardDocs.
If you have an item for Public Comment please email SLDP@msjc.edu at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.
If you would like the SGA to consider an item for the agenda, please submit your request to SLDP@msjc.edu by 12pm the Wednesday before the meeting.
SGA meetings are governed by the Ralph M. Brown Act, the SGA Constitution, and Robert Rules of Order.
Agendas will be posted in compliance with the Ralph M. Brown Act, at least 72 hours before the scheduled meeting via BoardDocs. Minutes will be posted as they are approved.

The SGA has 5 standing committees. The schedule for those that currently meet are listed below. Standing committees meet weekly unless otherwise specified.

College Activities Committee
To organize, plan and oversee all SGA events and activities.

Student Equity and Cultural Affairs Committee
Plan and organize programs for public expression, such as public events, public opinion polls, voter registration drives, lobbying efforts, and advocacy campaigns and rallies in order to promote students' interests and civic engagement.
Work in conjunction with College Activities Committee, and special population clubs in planning and presenting culturally diverse activities. Create workshops and activities to enhance a sense of community and inclusion on campus.

Institutional Effectiveness Committee
Prepare resolutions representing the concerns and opinions of the MSJC student body for consideration locally, at statewide or national student associations then submit those resolutions to the Legislature for Approval. Work with the college administration and Student Organizations to address the concerns of the student body. All Student Grievances or Complaints will be processed by the Institutional Effectiveness Committee.

Coordinate and administer SGA Social Media accounts. Coordinate SGA branding and marketing across all SGA Bodies committees. Coordinate and disseminate all SGA press releases.

Financial Affairs Committee
Coordinate Administer and oversee the SGA Budget Process and present funding recommendations to the SGA Legislature for approval and serve in the role of Treasurer for the SGA.
