Three MSJC students showcased their research at the 66th Annual Drosophila Research Conference, held March 19-23, 2025, at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego, CA. Biology majors Fady Hanna and Hannah Sofia Nadine Rosario, along with MSJC alumna Janelle Nelson, presented a biology honors research poster highlighting their work on Drosophila (fruit fly) genetics. The conference, organized by the Genetics Society of America, is a premier event for Drosophila researchers worldwide.

In celebration of Black History Month, Mt. San Jacinto College's (MSJC) Umoja Club was invited to the Temecula Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) Commission meeting. The public event took place on Thursday, February 13, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers, and local leaders recognized the contributions of Black and African American students in the community.
