Parking at MSJC

Students have two weeks from the first day of classes to obtain their parking permit during Fall and Spring semesters, one week during Summer semester.  During the first two weeks of the Fall and Spring semesters and one week during Summer semester, students may park only in student lots without a permit and will not be cited. After the grace period has expired, all students are expected to have their permits; any vehicles not registered with a valid semester permit may be cited. 

  1. Go to www.msjc.edu/parking.
  2. Under "Visitor Parking," click on: https://msjc.thepermitstore.com.
  3. Non-MSJC students should select: “Guest Sign In” in the upper right corner.
  4. For first-time users: Click on “Create a New Account.”
  5. Fill in all required fields, such as choosing a username and password.
  6. Once completed, click: “Create Account.”
  7. Choose either:
  8. A daily permit (valid at all campuses for one day), or
  9. A guest semester permit.
  10. If you select the semester guest permit, click: “Add Item.”
  11. If you select the daily permit, click: “Select Dates” to open a drop-down calendar.
  12. Select the date you plan to park on campus, then click “Done.”
  13. Click on: “Update cart with selected date(s).”
  14. Fill out your vehicle information on the screen.
  15. After completing the vehicle information, click: “Add.”
  16. Select your payment method and complete the required fields.
  17. Click: “Continue.”
  18. Review the confirmation page. If everything is correct, select: “I agree.”
  19. Congratulations! You have successfully completed the process. You can now park at any MSJC campus on the selected date(s).

Student Semester Parking Permits are available for purchase online. Student parking permits are electronic, purchase your permit by logging into Self-Service, using your student log-in credentials, then select the iParq icon. Each permit is valid for the entire semester. Semester permits are $45.00 for the Spring and Fall semesters, and $25.00 for the Summer semester.

Parking permits are not transferrable between students. If you drive more than one vehicle to campus please register the second vehicle before parking on campus, by logging into Self-Service, then select the iParq icon.  If a student has more then one vehicle registered on thier account, they must assign the permit to the vehicle they are utilizing on campus. One permit covers only one vehicle at a time.

Visitor Parking Permits

Visitor parking permits are available online only.  Visit MSJC's third-party vendor, iParq at msjc.thepermitstore.com to purchase a daily or semester permit.  First time purchasers must create an account.  Students may purchase a daily permit through their MyMSJC account.

Note: Visitor permits are non-refundable.


Employee Parking Permits

MSJC employees must obtain a virtual parking permit by logging into Self-Service. Using your employee log-in credentials, select the "iParq" tile and follow the checkout process.  If you drive more than one vehicle, you may register the second vehicle then purchase (Free) additional permits to cover the additional vehicles..

Parking Citations

Please take note of the following:

Parking citations not paid within thirty calendar days will incur a late fee.  If the citation remains unpaid a DMV Hold will be placed against the registered owners vehicle registration.  Fines double after 30 days of the issuance date, and upon registration being placed on a DMV Hold.    

Bicycles must be parked in racks provided in such a manner as not to obstruct sidewalks, paths or vehicle flow. Racks are located in designated areas.

No animals are permitted on campus grounds. Exception: Service dogs.

Students who elect to park off campus are subject to the California Vehicle Code.
