Welcome Back, Eagles | President's Video Message & More

Sent 08/21/2020

Hi, Eagles.

We are so excited to welcome you to the fall 2020 semester. We want to thank you all for embarking on your educational journey with Mt. San Jacinto College. Your success this term is our highest priority.

We miss seeing your faces during this first week and look forward to a time when we can all be on campus once again.

The start of this semester has been like no other. Not only are you contending with the continued uncertainties of the COVID-19 Pandemic, but we also experienced a massive widespread internet outage caused by a local fire that made so many of our services unavailable. We recognize this made for an extremely stressful first week for many of you and we want to reassure you that our staff is poised and ready to assist you to navigate our online services now that we are back up and running.

We heard from so many of you regarding the need for additional access to our staff and services. I hope you've been able to visit our improved online Student Support Hub, which features a virtual lobby, where you will meet with a real person via video. We have increased the number of staff that are in the virtual lobbies ready to assist you.

We're also working to help you with other challenges resulting from the pandemic and our online learning environment.

Watch this video to learn more about the Hub, technology support and our plans for distributing emergency funding to eligible students.
