Update & Statewide Stay-at-Home Order

Sent 03/19/2020

Dear Students and Colleagues,

In response to the “Stay-at-home” order issued by Gov. Gavin Newsom tonight, March 19, 2020, to reduce the spread of COVID-19, Mt. San Jacinto College will continue to be physically closed at all campuses and will allow only essential personnel through April 30th (per the previous order issued by Riverside County public health officials). We will continue to provide remote instruction and help eliminate person-to-person contact. We want to ensure you we will maintain continuity of instruction and student services. Please expect that we will get additional guidance for all students and employees in the coming days related to this new order. At this time, we need to make sure our loved ones, neighbors and communities remain healthy. Our plans remain to launch as an online college on April 6, 2020.

I felt compelled to send a quick note out tonight to let you know we are thinking of all of you, your families, and our communities. We will share additional information tomorrow as it becomes available.

Stay healthy and be safe,

Roger
