Bio:
I am from San Diego and started my college experience at my local community college, Grossmont College. I transferred to CSU San Marcos and graduated with my BA in Literature & Writing, Writing Specialty. During my time at CSUSM, I studied abroad for a year in the UK and decided to move back for graduate school. After graduating with my BA, I moved to Leeds, England and completed my MA in American Studies. After some time abroad, I decided return to the states and enter the field of education and completed my M. Ed. in Curriculum Design at the University of San Diego. I have been teaching for 11 years in both the high school and community college settings. I love teaching the art of rhetoric and preparing students to navigate the complex media world we live in.
I moved from San Diego to Menifee for a quieter, more affordable life for my children. Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my son on the baseball field, basketball court, or soccer field, volunteering with my daughter's Girl Scout troop, walking my two dogs and reading as much as time allows.
