During its annual organizational meeting on December 15, the MSJC Board of Trustees welcomed new Trustee Jhalister Corona. Mr. Corona replaces Ann Motte, the district's longest-serving board member, who chose not to seek re-election. The Board selected Trustee Joshua Rivera, representing Area 2, as the new Board President, and Trustee Brian Sylva, serving Area 1, as the new Clerk. During the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees, the board accepted independent audits of the financial records of the Measure AA Bond, the District and the MSJC Foundation. They also heard a legislative update from the MGI Advocacy and an accreditation update.
