Ceremony Frequently Asked Questions
MSJC welcomes the graduating class of 2022 to participate in this years in-person graduation ceremony. This includes all summer 2021, fall 2021 or current spring/pending 2022 graduates.
The in-person ceremony is planned for Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Pechanga Resort Casino.
MSJC will host two ceremonies- 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
RSVPs are required. Graduates may RSVP for one ceremony only.
RSVPs are required and will open begingin Monday, March 14.
Participation in the in-person ceremony is optional however we invite and encourage you and your guests to join us as we want to celebrate your achievements!
Wether you choose to participate or not, diplomas are not available at the ceremony. Awards will be mailed to the address on file by July 15, 2022.

There are two deadlines to be aware of:
- April 1st: last day to apply for spring graduation, in order for your name to appear in the graduation ceremony program
- May 13th : last day to apply for spring graduation, in order to participate in the graduation ceremony
Graduation application outcomes can be viewed in Self-Service.

Regalia is available at the One Stop Eagle Bookstore begining Monday, April 4, 2022.

Your SGA has purchased 400 regalia sets for Spring 2022 graduates. Begining April 4th, the first 400 spring 2022 graduates may visit the Eagle Bookstore for thier free regalia (cap, gown & tassel only). Other graduation items are available for purchase.
The campus bookstores are open:
SJC: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to Noon.
MVC: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Note: summer and fall 2021 grads were offered free regalia last term. Summer and fall grads will need to purchase regalia, if they did not receive a free cap/gown in the fall.
Each graduate may invite as many family/friends as they wish. There are no tickets.
Names will not be called in any specific order. However we generally encourage students to line up following this order, although it is not mandatory:
Students participating in the ceremony (speaker, etc.)

We encourage all graduates to submit a photo and statement for the website.
Diplomas will be mailed to graduates by July 15, 2022. Summer and fall 2021 graduates should have already received their degrees. If you have not, please contact ESgrading@msjc.edu.
Degree frames may be purchased from the Eagle Bookstore. The SJC and MVC campus bookstores are open Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Graduates and transfers who RSVP and attend the in-person ceremony will have an opportunity to have two professional photos taken by GradImages. One is a candid photograph as you cross the stage and the second is a posed portrait, after you exit the stage. You will receive a free passport-sized, full-color proof by email after graduation. There is no obligation to purchase.

Celebrate your acheivements, and let your neigbors know! Yard signs may be purchased online and picked up from the campus Bookstore of your choice.
