Environmental Studies

The environment on which humans depend is under unprecedented pressure to maintain the lifestyles and economies of the world’s population. Sustainable solutions to global problems have never been as imperative as they are today. The environmental studies program engages students in a rewarding and multidisciplinary approach to understanding how humans impact the environment. The field encompasses a diverse array of interests by drawing on aspects of the physical and life sciences as well as the social sciences and humanities. As an interdisciplinary field, it emphasizes critical thinking and synergistic approaches to solving complex problems. The degree prepares students for stimulating and lucrative careers working toward the goal of sustainability.
